Seth Groves is a freelance illustrator and traditional painter based in Indianapolis, where he lives with his wife, Macey, and son, Ronan. He began his professional art career while serving in the United States Air Force, illustrating sketch cards for TOPPS. Since then, his work has spanned several high-profile and officially licensed projects, including contributions to Star Wars and Marvel Studios properties such as Moon Knight and Spider-Man through ACME Archives.
Seth has also created cover work for Image Comics’ Moon Man and Boom Studios’ hit series Something Is Killing the Children. His collaborations include projects with Tiny Onion Studios on House of Slaughter, as well as licensed art for beloved franchises like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Ultraman.
In 2025, Seth was selected to exhibit at Star Wars Celebration Japan, where his limited edition print Phantom Menace sold out, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Known for his vibrant color palettes and textured, expressive techniques, Seth’s work is rooted in traditional media. He believes that the truest expression of energy and emotion flows through the physical act of painting.
