Hi, I’m Effie! I’m a traditional and digital illustrator from the USA, currently living in Thailand with my husband and baby son.
I’m inspired by classical and fantastical art, particularly that of the golden age illustrators. For me, creating art is a meditation on reality. Why do those clouds radiate orange? How does that figure bend just so? It is my way of connecting with the world, and to my imagination.
I earned a degree in fine arts from the University of Florida before spending many years as a graphic designer. I returned to illustration, my first love, full time in 2019. I am interested in working on fantasy and science fiction book covers, young adult covers, interior illustration, and games.
