artist Bio
Alannah is a freelance fantasy illustrator and instructor at Watts Atelier in Southern California. She works both traditionally and digitally to tell stories about fantastical worlds. Underpinned by her own love of nature, she focuses on both the people and the creatures that inhabit these worlds.
She received her B.A. in Drawing and Painting from Dartmouth College in 2013, and worked as a graphic designer for most of her twenties before returning to school at Watts Atelier to pursue a career in illustration and imaginative realism.
Her work has been accepted into Infected by Art Volume 12 and the Illuxcon Main Show in 2024 and 2025.
When she’s not drawing or painting, you can find Alannah with a cup of coffee in hand, hanging out with her two quirky cats or out hiking in the early morning with her husband.
