Yanqing Low (b.1985, Singapore) is an emerging artist making contemporary artwork for art collectors, and has original art for sale. She considers bodies to be expressions of vigor, possibility and connection and uses them in her paintings and drawings as metaphors for impermanence and change, often in relation to personal identity and sexuality. Her process is heavily informed by drawing, working with bold lines and gestures that lay her process bare. These are seen throughout her personal vocabulary of gestures, colours, and distortions that express an inner world too often made opaque by noise and structure.
Yanqing holds a degree in Fine Art from Lasalle College of the Arts, and has exhibited in both Singapore and New York. She has recently been accepted to the New York Academy of Art, with plans to start in the fall.
