What is the alumni portfolio page?
It's where artists who studied at SmArt School and the IMC can have a portfolio page for free! To be eligible all you have to do is complete a SmArt School mentorship beyond the beginner level or have attended the IMC. We want to promote the artists who studied with us. We want you to succeed because the proof of the value of any school is in the success of the alumni.
How do I join?
Submissions are accepted twice a year, during these dates:
From July 1 -- July 21st (midnight EST)
From January 1--January 21st (midnight EST)
Send up to six jpgs of your artwork for a new portfolio.
1000 pixels max on the longest side -NEW DIMENSIONS
Label each image like this "artist-name-artwork-title.jpg"
For example: "Leonardo-DaVinci-Mona-Lisa.jpg"
Send a bio
Send a bio photo
Send links to all your sites and socials (promote yourself!)
Send a note of which IMC or SmArt School program(s) you took part in
You will automatically be entered into art prize competition
For your bio: Include specifics about what you do. This helps people searching for your work. Use terms like ‘young adult’ or ‘science fiction’ or ‘original art for sale’ if they apply to your portfolio. Just keep it real (don’t keyword spam).
