artist Bio
Patricia is a Cuban illustrator based in sunny Miami. As a full-time freelance artist, she illustrates compelling book covers and interior art for stories across the sci-fi/fantasy genres, collaborating with art directors and authors in doing so.
Her love for animation and literature come together in her dynamic, colorful compositions, in which she portrays characters and environments in a painterly style and focusing on storytelling. She graduated from the University of Camaguey with a degree in Architecture in 2023. By then she had already been pursuing her self-taught education in illustration since 2020.
Patricia is a regular collaborator for The Broken Binding, with her work appearing as endpaper for Fonda Lee’s newest The Last Contract of Isako’s special edition; as well as illustrating the covers for the trilogy Rook and Rose by M.A.Carrick, and for the duology sci-fi classic, The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell, among others. Further clients include LitPins&Co, Evernight Books, as well as a list of indie projects and authors.
Outside of art and book related activities, she enjoys weightlifting, long walks, and expanding her knowledge of languages.
