María Calderón is a freelance architect and illustrator based in Seville, Spain. She draws inspiration from nature, architecture, manga, and classical art.
Working with a variety of traditional and digital techniques, her artworks explore the relationship between humans, their emotions and the spaces they inhabit. Rich in detail, her pieces often blend reality and imagination, featuring animals, vegetation and architectural elements woven together through a delicate palette of natural, muted tones.
Her pieces have been recognized by organizations such as 3x3, Creative Quarterly,
AOI and Folio Society.
