I’m Kaysha Siemens, and I’m an oil painter working on an ongoing project called Mnemosyne, inspired by Greek myths. I occasionally break away from that project to paint yet another mermaid, or a tribute to a favorite fandom or folktale. Increasingly, it feels more important, not less, to stubbornly make a haven for myself and my audience. I provide visions of magic, of gods and goddesses, and other eternal, frivolous and yet resonant things in the face of constant reminders of a harsh but impermanent present.
