artist Bio

Kat is a freelance illustrator who works in traditional watercolor media. Originally inspired by art from MTG, she pursued a BFA from The American Academy of Art, Chicago, and has enjoyed working within the board game industry for just over a decade. When it comes to her own work she enjoys exploring the feminine in fantasy, and draws inspiration from protagonists in mythology, history, pop culture, and fairytales. Her art focuses mainly on figure, with clean lines and a practiced command of watercolor. 
 
Kat currently resides in the middle of the Australian outback with her husband and young son.
