My name is Jose ‘Jej’ Ortiz. In my former life, I was a Scenic Artist for a major regional theatre in the Washington D.C.metro area, where I am currently based. Nowadays my focus is on expanding my digital fantasy art portfolio, primarily creating art and illustration informed by stories from my head, from other authors and from folklore. My emphasis tends to be on characters and creatures, many of which happen to be for and from TTRPGs. My recent client projects have included a children’s book, 2D art for a video game, cover art for an indie game publisher and private fantasy art commissions. Ultimately my goal is to level-up and illustrate consistently for major game and book publishers.
