Hi, my name is Jerome Stueart. I'm a freelance illustrator and writer based in Dayton, Ohio. I work with traditional materials, acrylic, gouache, watercolor, graphite, pen and ink. My work mostly concentrates on character and scene. I'm inspired by classic illustrators like NC Wyeth, Dean Cornwell, Arthur Rackham, and more modern cover artists for the New Yorker: Barry Blitt, John Cuneo, Peter de Seve. My work is whimsical, fun, joyful, and often messy. Everything is also a bit thicker and larger and chubbier. Monsters, Animals, Kings, Soldiers, Kids. My work is queer, LGBTQ positive, body positive. I enjoy making people smile. I'm looking for work creating illustrations for children's books, adult fantasy and science fiction novels, covers, or magazines. Original Art is for sale.
