My name is Iona Michiemo. I am a tattoo artist that after a decade in the industry is stepping their feet in the waters of illustration and design. I was born and raised in New Jersey and am currently based in Vienna, Austria.
The fine eye I developed tattooing I take into all other fields of my work. Focusing on the details of any piece is important to me. I draw inspiration from my African roots and seeing the fine bead-work of my grandmother in Kenya as well as from classical oil painting and their focus on fabric patterns and ornate jewelry.
Having lived in Japan, Africa, Europe, and the US, telling stories and creating characters that reflect the diversity of the world is important to me. I desire to represent this diversity in the field of fantasy TTRPGs and trading card games.
