artist Bio
I’m Harkalé Linaï, a French artist and freelance illustrator. I create painterly, colourful illustrations, playing with brushstrokes and organic shapes to build dreamlike pictures. My work is inspired by the beauty and wonderful diversity of our world and of the people who live in it – and by countless hours spent reading fantastical literature or playing roleplaying games.
My main client is Wizards of the Coast (for Magic: the Gathering), but I also illustrate a lot of books for various genre and romance publishers. I especially love depicting emotional moments and quiet scenes... But really, as long as I get to paint nature, people, surreal settings or glowing magic, I’m happy!
