Dane Cozens is an artist and illustrator living in Atlanta, Georgia. His art mixes classic scenes of American culture, imaginary creatures, and magic.
As a child, he learned to draw from the backseat of his family’s minivan. He was homeschooled on the road, and he would look out the car window between lessons, imagining creatures and people living in the forests and fields beyond the highway. Now, his art continues imagining creatures and characters representing us in a modern day American mythology.
Most of his commercial work has been as a fantasy illustrator for game companies and publishing houses - including AGS games, Aristocrat Games, and Simon & Schuster. His art has also been featured by Infected by Art and Game Informer Magazine. He works on illustration and concept art commissions, and he aims to show his oil paintings in galleries.
When he is not painting or drawing, he can usually be found hiking or running with his dog while listening to music at full volume.
