Conceptual Illustration With Sam WEber
Through individual portfolio assignments Sam will help his students build nuanced, conceptually-driven illustrations. The students will create the kind of thoughtful imagery used for editorials, short stories, and contemporary fiction. They will learn to problem-solve the process of building nuanced communications through evocatively layered symbols. As a vital part of this class students will show their work to and receive individualized feedback from Claire Merchlinsky, Illustrator and former freelance art director for the New Yorker and current freelance art director for Medium.com. Towards the end of the semester student's work will be reviewed by Christine Foltzer, art director at Tor.com publishing.
After taking this class students will also receive a free profile on the Smarter Art Market
