I am Christof Simons, an artist/illustrator from Ostend, Belgium. I explore the middle ground between art and figurative illustration, working mainly in oils. Brushwork is an important part of my work. My favorite subject is wildlife, both real, prehistoric, mythical and fantastic creatures. Fantasy and dark fantasy are also a favorite of mine.
