Hi, I'm Chris Vander Meulen! I am a traditional and digital freelance artist specializing in imaginative realism and realistic art including portraits and plein-aire. I am drawn to art that emphasizes the power of light and beauty over darkness, and explore that theme within my work. Currently I am writing and illustrating my graphic novel that explores this theme in detail following a group of young kids thrown into a world where the stars are falling. Living in the Pacific Northwest, nature easily finds its way into my art as well. I am currently open for commissions.
