Charis Loke makes richly-layered maps and art for worlds both real and imagined. Based in Malaysia on the sunny and stormy equator, she has illustrated award-winning stories by Fonda Lee, R. F. Kuang, Sue Lynn Tan, Hannah Whitten, Kacen Callender, Andrea Stewart, Judy I. Lin, M. L. Wang, and more.
Charis values thoughtful worldbuilding and queer characters in projects, being ace herself. She would particularly love to work on stories with interwoven maps and text, Southeast Asian fantasy, music, or science as elements.
