Anne-Marie is an American artist living and working in the beautiful Chiltern Hills just north of London. She is a figurative artist who loves expressive portraiture and working with narrative themes highlighting archetypal feminist topics emerging through mythic stories, spirituality and the natural world, of which we are all a part of. Specifically important to her is finding that sweet spot that connects everyday moments with mindful awareness of something greater than ourselves.
She works in brush and ink, graphite powder, oils and watercolours and occasionally plays with clay, wire and fabrics to sculpt her characters. Though Anne-Marie has a long history as a published illustrator, she now focuses on developing a personal voice appropriate for gallery art. Her illustrations have shown in small spaces and galleries in London.
She shares her colourful home with a very furry, very bossy cat called Hurricane as well as a supportive of the arts husband.
