Artist Bio

Hi! My name is Anastasia, I am a Russian-born, Toronto-based artist. A nomad at heart, I love to create and explore. I first moved all by myself when I was 17, from the other side of the world to the evergreen Vancouver, BC - to study civil engineering, no less. This journey has opened my eyes to the power of art as a universal language, and ultimately led me to fulfill my childhood dream of becoming a professional artist. Having worked in various industries from construction and advertising, to healthcare and now full-time art, I have been inspired by many wonderful people, and strive to bring an equally strong work ethic and skillset to my creative career.

I love making illustrations and fine art, creating murals and painting commissions. My work is usually described as magic realism; vibrant, dreamlike, emotional. It has been featured by Street Art Toronto, Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, Infected by Art, Beautiful Bizarre Art Magazine, and others. Whether I am spray painting, working digitally or with oils, I am inviting the viewer to connect with their inner self, and to celebrate the beauty and mystery of life.
